My nail colour for the past week has been Boots No.7 'So Simple.' (Boots.com link)
I just can't help myself - I have a strong inclination towards neutral colours! As anyone who knows me or follows me on social media will know, my nails tend to be 'neutral'. Whether its a beige, a bronze, a coffee or a caramel (that's making me feel hungry now!) my manicure is what I would call a 'neutral shade'. I'm sure it comes down to my personality as I like to think of myself as quite an easygoing, laid back person but more than that, if i'm honest - it goes with everything in my wardrobe! Now, I know many of you will be thinking that's because I only have these colours...oh, and a bit of black ;) ... in my closet but even I have a few bright pieces that I wear every so often especially when the sun comes out! I also model a huge range of different colours and patterns at work and so there is a huge practical reason why I stick to neutral too, it goes with everything!
I'm not necessarily saying that this look is for everyone, although I am a big believer that there is a 'nude' or 'natural' polish out there for all! For example, the 'Midnight Bronze' Glossfinity from Max Factor (Boots.com) that I use tends to look great on everyone...I know this as I have painted so many friends and families nails in this colour... See the Midnight Bronze on my nails below:
I also have to mention at this stage that I always use Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat. The reason being that apart from the obvious 'clues in the name' quick drying effect, it has an incredibly high gloss finish. No matter what make of nail polish I use, I feel this gives me the look of a professional 'gel like' finish.
Seche Vite is available online and instore at most chemists (I'm a fan of Boots.com as I love being able to collect the Advantage Card points) but it is also available with 'multibuy' saving options on the QVC website and they also have regular deals on live shows coming up so be sure to keep an eye out!
