We're coming up to the spookiest weekend of the year, it's 'Halloween' and we have to admit we're not really 'spooky' people! We don't mind the witches, cats and maybe a white sheet with two eye holes cut out, friendly 'Casper' ghost types for the little ones... but as for the fake blood wielding vampires, over sized party spiders and webs and zombie type characters you can leave them at home! Although I do seem to remember having an extremely cute 10 year old Zombie bride and miniature 8 year Werewolf knock on our door last year, I have to be honest and say we do make exceptions for people under 5ft tall with a sweetie bucket! :)
We do recognise however that some will be partying this weekend Halloween style (and we can never dismiss an excuse for a party!) We'll have the tricksters and treaters out Monday so we thought we'd share with you a few ideas of how we'll be inspired by this occasion. Obviously, the simplest way to dress for Halloween is to start with black and going by our wardrobes we'll fit in perfectly! ;) There's already lots of Goth styles and vampy looks on the High Street this season and also some great Halloween themed pieces so we've put together a small selection of some of our favourites.
We absolutely loved this "If you've got it haunt it" Black Slogan Ghost Print Cap Sleeve T-Shirt from www.newlook.com at just £7.99 and this 'evil laugh - Mwa Ha Ha!' ASOS HALLOWEEN Sweatshirt with Evil Laugh Glow Print from www.asos.com at £21.00 (Click link or photos to see more details) These seem the perfect wardrobe additions for any escorts of 'trick or treaters' Monday evening but also just a great throw on for the weekend to get into the party spirit whilst shopping for pumpkins and sweet treats! For just £7.99 the "If you've got it haunt it" t-shirt looks like the ideal for us, layered with a black long sleeve tshirt, black jeans and boots for wandering the streets with the kids 'trick or treating.' You could also throw this t-shirt on with some fab heels instead for a drink at the pub or house party this weekend with some glam/vampy make up. We definitely think this is great value for looking like you're getting into the spirit of Halloween, without needing any gorey details!
On the other hand if you are going out this weekend, to dance with Devil or have a wiggle with the Witches on the dancefloor, get glam with the Ghouls or even get zany with the Zombies and planning on joining the 'dark side' partying until dawn or at least possibly midnight, we've put together some potential party essentials! These are our kind of Halloween 'treats!' You're not necessarily going to be the 'Hell's Belle of the Ball' or be the 'fright of the night' but this mascara does the 'TRICK' for us and this liquid eyeliner works a 'TREAT' for dramatic eye make up!
