Back to the shops... Many years ago we both worked as fittings models for M&S, as a size 12 and size 16, in their head office that was in Baker Street. We've got great memories of this time as they were such a fab company to work for but we've also always admired the fact that they try to offer a little something for everybody. Having admired quite a number of pieces in their collections recently it was our first stop! They do have an incredible range including the great tailoring and beautiful underwear and nightwear but we were there to find key pieces for Spring and some great value versatile items. As a key wardrobe piece, we absolutely fell in love with a 'Kimono style wrap' that was an ideal soft fabric for S/S with beautiful colouring and worked so many ways as a cover up and styled as a scarf, the kind of accessory you'd reach for again and again. There was also the 'black dress find!' They currently have a fabulous maxi dress, with a soft tassel cord belt, that for just £15 had to be the bargain of the day! It also comes in a range of different prints and colours, the black one seems like a 'no brainer' for Spring and perfect for nights out on holidays but if you find it fits you well, why not try another colourway too? Styled in different ways, with different accessories this could become one of your most versatile items for this Spring/Summer, but hurry as you never know how long stocks will last at £15! We put together a little video of our visit, including the Kimono wrap and maxi dress and you can find the details of each item featured below. Floral Print Jacket as worn by Jane. We loved this as the white background reflects light onto your face and lifts your complexion. The florals are feminine and uplifting and the beautiful tailoring makes it an item that you could wear with jeans and a cami or over a dress or contrasting trousers to a more formal occasion like a summer wedding or Ascot races coming up next month! Tie back flared sleeve tunic dress as seen on Katherine. We'd seen this pink tunic dress featured on some of the Spring M&S advertising and apart from being a great 'colour pop' in your wardrobe for a Spring or Summer event we adore the statement fluted sleeves. Perfect for showing off the jewellery on your wrists too! Floral Print cropped slim leg trousers as worn by Katherine with the top below. If you're looking to dip your toe into florals for Summer, these trousers might be just the answer. Wear with a simple top or blouse similar to below for a formal but fun daytime look or team with a tshirt and a denim jacket for a day out shopping with the girls or early evening drinks! Over head long sleeve shell top, seen on Katherine with the floral trousers above. We loved the beautiful soft feminine fabric and the statement sleeves that can be worn turned up or down. TOP TIP: Consider going up a size or two in an item like this. The softness of the fabric shouldn't effect the tailoring too much and often the extra drape on the fabric can give a much more stylish look! Floral Print wide leg trousers as worn by Katherine. We loved the versatile base of navy and the stylish wide leg silhouette of these trousers. Dress up with sandal wedges and fabulous jewellery for a very 'South of France' vibe or wear like Katherine with a simple cami and contrasting scarf with simple flats or flip flops for a stylish day time look.
Deep back sleeveless maxi dress as seen on Katherine. We love the versatility, the cut, the soft jersey fabric and most of all the value! At just £15 this has to be worth a look! Pure Modal Kimono wrap as seen on Jane and Katherine. You will see from the video above how much fun we had styling this fabulous piece! It's so versatile as the colours are so soft it would go with most colourways and can be worn as a Kimono style wrap as seen on Jane or as a scarf as shown on Katherine.
