Style your way into Summer

Friday, June 2, 2017

HAPPY JUNE! The sun has been shining, hurrah! How good does it feel to be warm! We feel like it was such a long winter (although I think we say this every year, ha!) and it feels like such a huge relief not to have the heating turned on and to be able to go out in open toed shoes! Even the little spurts of rain here and there aren't bothering many as they seem to be fueling the beautiful flowers in bloom!

As well as having some great weather though, we've also had some great days working with some fantastic brands. We had such a fabulous time working with one of our favourite jewellery brands, Lola Rose, on their Anniversary shows at QVC a couple of weeks ago. Nikki, the founder of Lola Rose and her 'right hand woman' Anna sat alongside Mum and myself with some of the lovely presenters at QVC and we literally tried on every piece, styling as we went and chatted about all the wonderful ways to wear this beautiful jewellery. I know I've said it before, but the thing I love the most about this jewellery is that there literally is a piece for everyone and if you haven't entered the wonderful world of Lola Rose jewellery yet, this time of year is the perfect time to start. Check out some of our favourites in the 'Bangle Bar' section at www.lolarose.co.uk or go to www.qvcuk.com to see their selection with lots of great offers too.

As well as having lots of compliments on the jewellery I also had people asking me about the white cold shoulder top I wore for one of the shows. Unfortunately it was from last season and is not available any more but it is such a great top that I've loved wearing and perfect for the Summer... so we did a little research. A little 'personal shopping' trip for all of you. A simple white top like this, with just a small amount of detailing, for example the cold shoulder, is ideal for this time of year and will go with practically everything in your wardrobe. I usually style it with jeans and tan/neutral accessories (with a bit of jewellery to style it up of course!) but you can make it as dressy or as casual as you like to suit you.

Take a look below to see what we found. It's always difficult to show 'white tops' but please click on the links below in the description to see more details.

*TOP TIP - When purchasing any new 'floaty or loose fitting' tops we always tend to go up at least one size than our normal dress size. We feel that this gives the item more fabric to drape, so it falls better and we also love the slightly longer length it gives us. We love this tip as often these tops will not only drape more beautifully but also tend to look more expensive and more stylish in a larger size.

If you fancy something with a little colour or delicate prints, still taking on the cold shoulder trend or maybe even the 'Bardot' style, take a look at our picks from M&S below. We love these for their feminine chicness but they're also very relaxed and the perfect start to a romantic Boho outfit. We can almost hear the pitcher of 'Pimms' pouring with these Summer looks! *TOP TIP - For 'fuss free' style, pair any of the above tops with your favourite jeans and just add neutral summer shoes for a stylish but understated easy outfit that could take you from day to evening with just a little jewellery.

We've put together a few of our favourite neutral footwear that we've seen recently below. These shoes will work with almost any colours, so they make a great investment for this season. Please click links in description below for more information.

*TOP TIP - The reason we love neutral footwear is that it tends to elongate your leg and that's always going to be a bonus!  Don't get me wrong we love a statement shoe with the right outfit but the versatility of something neutral and simple is always a winner for us! It's our go to style as they go with simply everything and always look chic and understated.

Why not add a great neutral handbag to your wardrobe? Our selection below work perfectly with some of the outfit ideas above and a girl can never have too many bags, can she?! These Mango Shopper Bags in beige and white below look like the ideal shopping bag! Click descriptions below for more information.

Add some beautiful jewellery to any of these outfits and you're ready to go! You could even add a pop of colour with some Lola Rose jewellery!

We hope you're enjoying some of this beautiful weather we've been having and feel a little inspired by our picks above. We'll be back soon with more, in the meantime have a fabulous week, have fun with your wardrobe, it really can effect your mood. Often the better you feel you look...the better you feel! Keep smiling and remember... there is only one you! X
